Description of Activity
Meet Old Tom, one of the cheekiest characters we know. A lovable rogue whose outrageously bad behaviour is guaranteed to have the classroom laughing out loud.
Students are introduced to Old Tom in 6 laminated print outs that are copies of the original works in the NERAM collection. What process did the artist go through to make these prints?
Old Tom comes to life through watching a brief episode and reading of a segment of the book ‘The Big Book of Old Tom’. The class are then invited to create their own fun-loving character inspired by the artwork and story of Old Tom.
