A Gamillaraay woman, originally from north west NSW and now residing in Banora Point, on Bundjalung country, Debbie Taylor Worley is an artist working across a variety of artforms including ceramics, children’s books, exhibitions, paintings, projects, weaving and works on paper.
Debbie Taylor Worley and local videographer Mike Terry took a journey to Hanging Rock just outside of Nundle, NSW to film a video tutorial for students on how to make cordage. Cordage also known as thread, string or rope can be used for functional purposes including baskets, bowstrings, fishing lines, trap triggers, snares, and lashings and can also be used to create artwork, as well as bracelets, headdresses and the list goes on!
