This project delves into the rich history of F T Wimble & Co., a pivotal entity in the printing history of Australia and New Zealand, known for producing the first printing ink in the Southern Hemisphere in 1868.
Harvey and Menesis’ research focuses on recreating historic ink formulas using natural pigments sourced from Australia’s raw materials, celebrating the country’s cultural heritage. They will share their progress, including initial findings, experimentation results, and future plans.
