Sally Stokes’s colourful landscapes embody a sense of place beyond the physical act of seeing. In this body of work, Stokes explores the hidden songs of painting and nature, whether they be gentle or dramatic. Diverse shapes and spaces take their form from memory, suggestion, and imagination, culminating in a harmonious and joyful composition.
