Debbie Taylor Worley investigates the colonial frontier and the relationships formed between her ancestors, both wadjin (white women) and yinarr (Gamilaraay women) delineated by their relationships to the land and water. Working across textiles, ceramics, and photography, Taylor Worley juxtaposes colonial and indigenous histories, celebrating the enduring strength of all women in her family. Though once disempowered, they live today as conveyers of both colonist and Aboriginal pasts.
