Cake Decorating | School Holiday Workshop

To celebrate NERAM’s impending Great NERAM Bake Off! later in the year we invite passionate junior bakers in the area to join expert in the field, Mary Hollingworth from the Guyra CWA to a fabulously creative cake decorating workshop.
This workshop is a fun, tasty and colourful activity for any aspiring junior bakers. The children will be shown how to create icing, fill piping bags and pipe onto cakes & cupcakes using an array of nozzles. And best of all, they take their creations home in a presentation box for their friends and family.
Please pack an apron a snack & water bottle for your child to have during their workshop break.
Each class is a maximum of 14 children with two age categories to select from, please see information below.
Workshop includes:
- How to properly work with freshly baked cupcakes/cake
- Learn how to colour icing
- Tips and tricks to help smaller hands fill piping bags
- Different techniques of piping onto cupcakes using a variety of nozzles
- Simple decorating techniques including sprinkles and fondant shapes
- Create decorations
- Working with a variety of colours
- A reusable box to take away your creations

Workshop 1: 10.00am – 12.30pm with morning tea break for ages 5-9 years
Workshop 2: 1.30pm – 4.00pm with afternoon tea break for ages 9 +
