Dear NERAM Friends and Community,
I am writing to provide you with an update on NERAM’s response to the current health concerns and measures regarding COVID-19.
We are monitoring the situation closely and taking seriously current advice from the NSW Government.
At the moment all our exhibitions will remain open to the public and we will maintain our current opening hours. We are instigating relevant precautionary measures to best support the health and well-being of our community and visitors. If you are feeling well and need a place to access art and culture, we are here, we are open.
We are however taking precautionary measures to prioritise the safety and health of our community and visitors by postponing upcoming public events including the scheduled Friday 20th March Opening of The Change by Michelle Hungerford and The Lounge Room Collector Series #3. The artist talks scheduled for Saturday 21st March will also be postponed.
We are exploring exciting and engaging ways to connect with you using on-line and social media to ensure that everyone still has access to art and community during this difficult period. We will also use these platforms to keep you updated on further developments, so keep an eye on the NERAM Website and Facebook page. We will make every effort to reschedule these postponed events once the situation has positively changed.
We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and to adapt our response to current recommendations from the NSW Government and Australian Health Protection Principal Committee. It is our hope that our usual NERAM operation will re-commence as soon as possible, but in the meantime we will do what we can to keep our community healthy.
I thank you in advance for your understanding of these precautionary measures. We are all being called upon to be responsible and good citizens, so please take care of yourself and your families, and we look forward to seeing you soon at NERAM.
Best regards,
Rachael Parsons
