The safety and security of our visitors is of principal importance to us as we protect our valuable collection.
When on NERAM premises you must:
- Always conduct yourself responsibly and be respectful to others, in a manner that does not interfere, disrupt, or offend other persons on NERAM premises.
- Always comply with any reasonable requests made by NERAM staff upon entry or for the duration of your visit while on NERAM premises.
- Wear footwear at all times.
- Ensure children under 16 years are accompanied by an adult while at NERAM and are supervised at all times.
When on NERAM premises you must not:
- Use flash photographic equipment without the express permission of NERAM staff;
- use photographic or recording equipment in areas where this has been restricted;
- touch, or in any other way, interfere with objects or displays unless indicated;
- smoke anywhere indoors, or outdoors;
- eat or drink in gallery spaces or other places where this is restricted; or
- bring animals on NERAM premises, with the exception service animals such as guide dogs.
- Bring wet umbrellas past the entry space where there is a designated area for temporary placement.
- Bring flowers or other flora into the gallery spaces without the express permission of NERAM staff.
The following items are prohibited on NERAM premises:
- Any kind of knife, real or toy weapon or other item or substance restricted by law;
- oversized bags, backpacks, parcels or other containers;
- tripods, aerosol containers, metal tip umbrellas, balloons;
- any other item which in the discretion of NERAM staff is considered capable of being used to cause damage to or conceal a collection object for removal.
NERAM reserves the right to:
- Request that bags are cloaked at front counter if deemed oversized;
- exclude or remove the public or any other person from any part of the building or site;
- inspect any bag, luggage or object, however described, upon entry to and before leaving NERAM;
- use Security Closed Circuit Television cameras throughout NERAM; and
- prohibit any other personal items it deems necessary.
