Artist and printmaker Basil Hall is back for a workshop on 14 and 15 of November for another one of his weekend workshops.
Basil is expanding his repertoire a little this year. Included in the workshop will be unusual techniques like viscosity printing (the use of several colours inked up cunningly on the same etching plate) and other painterly approaches to add colour when etching on zinc plates.
Participants may either commence a new plate during the weekend, using hard or soft ground, sugar lift and aquatints or they may bring an existing plate to further develop at the workshop.
Basil is equally happy sharing the printer’s tricks of the trade, teaching new techniques or simply assisting participants to get the most out of their etching plates.
Previous experience is helpful, but beginners can be assured that they will also come away with something to be proud of.
There are only two places left in this workshop so be in quick and book online at: https://www.trybooking.com/IYRM
When: Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 of November
Where: NERAM, 114 Kentucky St, Armidale
