From 10 April to 20 April, give your children a creative break from school withNew EnglandRegionalArt Museum’s popular school holiday art workshops led by local artists. Children will have fun and learn new skills exploring sculpture, stencil art, clay and drama. Choose one, two or all four workshops!
Funky Junk Sculpture on Tuesday 10 and 17 April
10 am to 12 noon. All ages ($15pp)
Work with cardboard rolls, pipe cleaners, straws, ice-cream sticks, paper plates and old bottles. Join any sort of ‘junk’ and paint to make a funky sculpture.
Stencil Art on Wednesday 11 and 18 April
10am to 12noon. 8 and over ($15pp)
Learn to make and print stencils. Graffiti is quickly entering the fine art world, and stencilling is the way to do it; it’s easy, fun and looks awesome. Bring a simple idea along.
Colourful Clay Cup with Lorenne Michel on Thursday 12 and 19 April
10 am to 12 noon and 1pm to 3pm. All ages ($20pp)
Learn how to make a pottery cup and decorate with patterns and glazes.
Children under 5 to be accompanied by an adult. Two firings and all materials are included in the cost.
Felt Tip Theatre Co. Workshop on Friday 13 April
10am to 4 pm. Ages 8 and up. ($50 full day)
Skill and confidence building drama games and performances. Bring lunch. Loads of fun! Min. no. to run 8 – Max. no. 16 Will also run 20th April if waiting list fills.
