The Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA) will open 3 May at 6:00pm at NERAM featuring the works of 51 selected finalists drawn from over 400 entries.
The 2012 winner was awarded to Brisbane Artist, Miles Hall for his artwork Eyes closed…Feeling for Noon and Night. Hall applied graphite powder to a surface prepared with white oil pastel, drawing with his eyes closed to test his senses of touch and vision.
At 5:00pm before the Gala Opening, Jude McBean the Director of the Grafton Regional Gallery will be presenting an informal talk about the 2012 JADA exhibition. Attendance will cost $5 upon entry.
